Artist's Comments

I've always wanted to draw a composite of the four priestesses from the manga, Fushigi Yuugi. I think I rushed through this one, cuz I feel like I have no time to draw anymore and I get impatient. ^^;
Well next to each girl is her name in kanji and I wrote a little phrase describing each of the girls' personality.

next to Miaka (bottom right) it says 'unwavering loyalty' because she was so loyal to Yui and her friends.
by Yui (upper right) it says 'vengeful heart' because her only motive throughout the story was to get revenge on Miaka.
by Suzuno (bottom left) it says 'eternal love' because she never forgot her love for Tatara until she died.
and finally by Takiko (upper left) it says 'inner strength' b/c I think she is the bravest of the four girls since she's the only who bothers to fight back at people who attack her (hence her weapon)
if anyone has read this manga, the descriptions should make more sense to them! sorry if you're completely lost ^^;
